The Star R.AGE Portal (January/07)
The R.AGE is youth oriented paper published by The Star targeted at the tertiary and college community. For the year 2007, R.AGE will go online with an all new portal which includes feature Write Ups, Blogs, Polls, Photo and Video gallery for the first phase. The second phase includes a MySpace like service, Web-based chat, Classifieds, Event Listings, Wiki and Forum. We have recently completed the first phase and will be starting on the second phase mid-February.

For the video gallery, we are also building a YouTube like faeture and are currently building our own video encoding and streaming server.

Dubai Ministry of Labour Database Migration (July/06)
Through our local partner Network Security Solutions (NSS MSC Sdn. Bhd.), we secured this project from the Dubai Ministry of Labour to completely migrate their database from Oracle 8i to MSSQL Server 2005. We were given only 30 days to migrate 445 tables and about 300 other database objects such as triggers, stored procedures, views and etc. Apart from migrating all their database objects, we also had to modify their VB and .NET application to work with the new MSSQL server. All the ministry's functions such as permit applications, fee payments, labour records and etc were handled by this particular application.

Bank Negara Malaysia's SMEInfo Portal – Phase 2 (April/06)
With 12,000 SME registered so far (and counting) on www.smeinfo.com.my, Bank Negara sought to enhance the site by offering a product catalogue service. In addition to that, Bank Negara also requested the site to be tri-lingual and so far we have been able to produce the site in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Each SME would now have the ability to upload pictures and descriptions of their products in 3 different languages. Once again, through a collaboration with our business partners Motionworks, we developed the new features and see successfully turned this site into the de-facto website on Malaysian SMEs.

Pfizer's My Healthy Heart Site (January/06)
An information site on heart health and healthy living, www.myhealthyheart.com.my. We would also like to stress that we did not do the design (done by Pfizer) for this website because it is absolutely horrid in our opinion. We just came in to implement the CMS and create various interactive calculators, eg a BMI (body mass index) calculator.

Bank Negara Malaysia's SMEInfo Portal (October/05)
SMEinfo is a one stop information portal for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) – www.smeinfo.com.my. It has a Business Directory that allow users to search for SMEs in various sectors based on their company name, business sector, products & services and state. Together with our business partners Motionworks, we built this portal based on Motionworks's proprietary CMS and also integrated it with Skali's CMS for the content and articles section.

Bank Negara aims to have all the SMEs in Malaysia registered on this portal and plans to include a product catalogue in future enhancement. We just can't wait.

Monsoon Cup Terengganu Official Website (August/05)
The Monsoon Cup celebrates its inauguration and debut as the 50th official event of the Swedish Match Tour, and serves as the Malaysian leg for the prestigious international sailing event. Dubbed ‘The Formula One of Sailing’. We were chosen as their official web partner and because of our top-class service, the Monsoon Cup organisers will be working with us for the next 7 years on this event.

Currently an online newsletter service is being put into place and in the near future, online ticketing as well. In a twist of events, we were also responsible for their TV ad, which was broadcasted on TV3 and Astro.

Trendmicro Loyalty Management System (June/05)
Makers of the globally popular PC-Cillin Anti-Virus software, Trendmicro, embarked on an ambitious marketing strategy where they would reward their dealers and distributors for sale made. To realise this, a web based loyalty management system had to be put into place. HULKSOLUTIONS was chosen to build this system which would:

• Allow dealers to key in their invoices, view their reward points history and redeem gifts online

• Administrators to manage invoices and award points, manage the online Trendmicro product catalogue as well as the gifts catalogue

• Send marketing messages to all site members

Indigenous Knowledge Network Project (IKNet) (January/05)
IKNet is a multimedia project to document the indigenous knowledge of Malaysia. It was conceived to document the valuable but rapidly vanishing knowledge regarding biodiversity and a balanced world as an effective means to contribute to sustainable development. The means would be Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and youth, the powerhouses of the future. We were approached by IKNet and The Star (one of its main sponsors) to help improve its current portal CMS (content management system), handle future application maintenance as well as help with any ICT projects planning and implementations in the indigenous communities.

Prudential (November/04)
Prudential wanted to implement a site wide search engine. However, their entire site is comprised of static HTML pages and not dynamically generated from a database. Hence, we proposed to use the Google API (Application Program Interface), which is basically a tool that allows us to make use of Google's powerful search engine and produce the search result in a manner that we want it to appear. Prudential also wanted us to build them an articles, news and press releases module., where the creation, archiving and publishing of articles can be done through a user friendly manner.

Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) (August/04)
JAIS wanted to put some of its operations and functions like marriage and divorce applications, online. The system that they are going to launch is known as Nikah-Cerai-Rujuk (NCR) Online. This project was outsourced to us by JAIS' original web solutions vendor MWSB. We were brought in by MWSB to debug the entire site before it is launched as they were some defects and changes to be made. NCR Online was built over a sophisticated CMS framework created by MWSB using PHP/PostgreSQL. Hence we had to first master their CMS Framework and follow their programming styles and concepts to successfully work with the site.

Publlic Bank Berhad (July/04)
We customised our earlier solution for NP-Village to fit Public Bank's requirements and strict security policies. Some of the changes made included supporting their IBM-DB2 database server instead of MySQL, points and data exchange with Public Bank's internal system, etc. This was a milestone achievement for us because banks have the highest standards when it comes to IT solutions.

Wayss & Freytag Malaysia (April/04)
WFM is a german engineering company who is in charge of the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART) project's design and construction in the Klang Valley. Initially, WFM hired us to set up their intranet system (file-mail-router-firewall) and network infrastructure. Impressed with our work, they commissioned us to build a special supply chain management (SCM) system for them. This system was needed because they had trouble tracking the 20,000 concrete segments that were coming in from their suppliers every month. We built this system on the LAMP (Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP) setup.

NP-Village (Dec/03)
We deployed a customer relationship management (CRM) system with loyalty management capabilities for Nature Pure International (NPI). NPI is a healthcare product distributor based in New Zealand. With this system, NPI will be able to easily publish product catalogues, send out newsletter, keep track of customer purchases and thus introduce loyalty programmes with online gift redemptions. NPI will also be able to track customer preferences and thus be able to intelligently market the right product to the right customer.
